About
I am interested in the idea of humanitarianism. In particular, I argue that there should be space in humanitarian discourse for resistance. My motivation for my research is derived from my work in humanitarian organizations in the public and non-profit sectors in Canada and Africa.
I have recently defended my dissertation, "Problematizing Crisis: Re-reading Humanitarianism as Postcolonial Organizing." My methods for this research are archival, and I'm guided by Foucault's genealogy. My work is also informed by postcolonial theory and the broad area of critical management studies.
